Experimenting Everywhere with the Right Culture

Writer: Mark PalfreemanMark Palfreeman

It was our second time out in Leeds and momentum still very much behind us as we looked to once again fill the Flutter offices.

Our first speaker was fresh off a US tour where he'd been working with Pizza Hut in their head office in Austin, TX and a road trip from the Experimentation Island in St Simons Island, GA through to New York City. Mark Pybus is CEO of one of the country's leading experimentation & a/b testing agencies who work with companies such as Decathlon, Mulberry & Mr Porter. An agency who somewhat ironically are the organisers of our capital based counterpart Experimentation London. https://www.experimentationlondon.com/

His topic was the idea of Experimenting Everywhere and scaling experimentation programmes far beyond the reach of traditional digital devices. Guiding through some of the possibilities from call centres to delivery services and how to begin undertaking this idea within a business, inspiring people with the art of the possible.

He also tackled the interesting topic of Mobile App testing and how to overcome some of the common challenges that come with a unique medium such as release cycles and performance risks.

Next we had Head of Experimentation at 26PMX, Richard Chapman who was tackling the seemingly always topical subject of successfully driving a culture of experimentation. In a very concise step by step approach he called attention to the importance of establishing process and how best to tackle the different stakeholder challenges that inevitably come with such a task.
